Jason Probst- Va. Beach Fire Department

Jason Probst is an operational Battalion Chief with the Virginia Beach Fire Department.  Throughout his career he has served in both the Operations and Training Divisions and has an extensive background in Technical Rescue.  Jason currently holds positions as a Virginia Department of Fire Programs Adjunct Instructor with the division of Heavy and Tactical Rescue and serves as the Co-Chair of the Confined Space Rescue and Vehicle Rescue committees.  He currently holds the position of Rescue Squad Officer and Lead Structural Collapse Specialist Instructor for the FEMA VATF-2 US&R team.  Additionally, he travels across the United States teaching specialized rescue classes concentrating in Heavy Vehicle/Big Rig Technician, Structural Collapse Specialist, Paratech University, Advanced Heavy Lifting and Moving and Leadership Development for both Blue Collar Training Network and Spec Rescue International.


Mike Lombardo- Buffalo Fire Department ( Retired)

MIKE LOMBARDO is a 42-year veteran of the fire service and was the Commissioner/Chief of Department of the Buffalo Fire Department from Jan 2006 to Jan 2010. He is a New York State fire instructor and was a member of the development team for the New York State Firefighter Survival and Rapid Intervention programs. He is a two-time Firehouse Magazine Heroism Award recipient (1988 and 1994) and the recipient of the FDIC 1999 Tom Brennan Training Achievement Award. In 2015 Mike was a contributor for the NFFF documentary “Giving Courage: LODD Chiefs Speak” Mike provides consulting services around the United States, recently completing Near –Miss investigations in Scranton PA and Claymont DE, as well as completing a review of the San Francisco (CA) Fire Department leadership and a safety audit of the Boston (MA) Fire Department. Mike is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fire Department Training Network where he presents and developed the Fire Command program. Mike currently is an Assistant Chief and operates with the Christiana Fire Department in Delaware. He is a consultant and instructor on fire tactics, live fire attack, firefighter survival, and command and fire department operations throughout the United States.


Jeremy Williams- Norfolk Fire & Rescue/ Real Fire Training, LLC

Jeremy has been in the fire service since 2000.  He is an instructor with Real Fire Training and serves as a Captain assigned to the training division with Norfolk Fire.  He has served the majority of his career assigned to one of the cities Heavy Rescue Companies both as an officer and firefighter, but has also been assigned to the busiest ladder and engine companies with in the city.  He serves as an adjunct instructor for the Regional and Departmental Fire Academies.  Jeremy is a member of the Regional Technical Rescue Team and also serves as a Rescue Specialist on FEMA’s Virginia Task Force 2 US&R Team.  Prior to working for Norfolk he served in the US Navy.


Greg Payeur- Pittsfield Fire Department/ Fire Maul Tools, LLC

Greg started his career in the fire service in 1999 as a Firefighter with Pittsfield Fire where he currently serves as a Captain.  He also serves as Deputy Director of the Washtenaw County Technical Rescue Team.  He is a state of Michigan Fire Instructor I, as well as an instructor with Michigan Urban Search and Rescue and START Rescue.  Greg also represents Fire Maul Tools as the Sales Director. 


Jon Rigolo- Va. Beach Fire Department

Jon Rigolo is a Captain with the Virginia Beach Fire Department assigned to Rescue 2. Captain Rigolo is a Task Force Leader with Virginia Task Force 2 one of the 28 FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Teams and has deployed nationwide on events of national significance. He is a technical rescue instructor for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs and Spec Rescue International where he is the lead for the delivery of fire, rope rescue, industrial rope access and water rescue training worldwide.
